Psychresources’ Global Initiative
At Psychresources, we advocate to make mental health education accessible for everyone. That is why we are translating our activity books into different languages for children across various communities. Particularly, communities where mental health is overlooked and underemphasised.
Our first stop is: Kosovo/Albania!
We have worked with the Kosovar charity, The Ideas Partnership, to translate our first book:
Standing up to The Anxiety Monster into the Albanian language.
The book has been used in Kosovo’s schools run by The Ideas Partnership, a charity empowering those in Kosovo in the field of education, they have also been shared with the children of mothers staying at the Safe House in Gjakova, and presented to the UK ambassador of Kosovo.
Standing up to The Anxiety Monster was used to discuss the implementation of mental health education across Kosovo with the ambassador and we are currently working with the youth minister of Albania to amend the curriculum to incorporate mental health teachings also.
Because we believe mental health education should be accessible to everyone globally.

We kicked off our launch by speaking to Euro News’ Alice Taylor about why we chose to translate the book into Albanian.
We talked about the political context that has shaped the Albanian/Kosovar community, the impact of inter generational trauma and what we can do to create a cultural and societal shift.
We hope this book is the first step.
